The College Board's Advanced Placement Program is a
program of college level courses and exams, provided for high school students. The
exams earn students college credit for freshman-level courses. Advanced Placement
classes are freshman-level college courses covering curriculum specifically outlined by
the College Board and preparing students for the three-hour examinations in May. The
Pre-AP classes are rigorous classes with an advanced curriculum designed to accelerate
learning and prepare students for the AP courses.
All these courses are designed for the highly motivated student willing to
spend extra hours reading, writing, and studying.
The Advanced Placement Handbook
includes useful information about the Advanced Placement Program. Parents and
students are encouraged to read it before making decisions regarding enrollment in the
program at Po-Hi. They should also carefully read the Course
Description of the particular classes they are interested in taking.
Test Schedule
is posted early in the year; it is updated in the spring to indicate exact
testing times and locations.
Fee Information
is available in the fall and will be posted as soon as the payment due
dates are set.
